Class Descriptions
Yin classes focus on affecting the flow of chi energy through the meridians (similar to acupuncture) by the use of long-held, passive asanas (poses). Yin poses are floor poses that work to stretch the connective tissue of the body. Yin Yoga is a form of yoga that is available to all regardless of age, body type, athletic ability, etc.  
Restorative classes are similar to her Yin classes in that poses are held for extended periods of time. The main difference being the use of props to support the body for deep relaxation instead of stimulating energy flow. Both types of classes are excellent ways to relax and calm the nervous system and offer an important balance to a fast-paced, busy life.
Gentle classes are Mindfulness-based classes where the focus is on moving with the breath in a slow, mindful way.
